Ryan Tannehill is a quarterback in the NFL that plays for the Miami Dolphins. Born and raised in Texas, Tannehill proved to be a great athlete in a high school and chose to attend Texas A&M to play college football. After redshirted as a freshman and then failing to win the starting quarterback job the next year, Tannehill was moved to wide receiver and had an amazing year at the position. Tannehill set a school record when he caught 12 passes for 210 yards in his fifth game played at receiver. He broke the school's freshman record for receptions and receiving yards in a season and his 844 yards were just 11 short of the overall record for a season at Texas A&M.

Tannehill did not win the starting quarterback job until halfway through his third season but ultimately started seven games that year. Tannehill started all 13 games as a senior and played excellent, throwing for 3,744 yards with 29 touchdowns. With all of the physical tools, Ryan Tannehill was considered the third-best quarterback in the 2011 NFL Draft behind the much favored Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. The Dolphins ended up selected Tannehill with the eighth overall in the draft and made him their franchise quarterback. Over the course of his first five seasons in the NFL, Tannehill racked up 18,455 yards and 106 passing touchdowns. He played in all but three games in those first five years, suffered a devastating knee injury at the end of the 2016 season which cost him the entire 2017 season as well.
