Historical Milestones
Nick Foles was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2012 NFL Draft in the third round with the 88th overall pick. Foles was a standout quarterback at the University of Arizona, totally over 10,000 passing yards in his three seasons as a Wildcat. Making his NFL debut halfway through his rookie season, after Michael Vick went down with a concussion in Week 10. Foles was named the starter for the remainder of the 2012 season until he broke his hand in Week 16 and was put on injured reserved. Nick bounced back in 2013 to have his best year of his career until this point and earned a Pro Bowl selection. Throwing for over 2800 yards, 27 touchdown and only two interception in 13 games. The following season, Foles was on pace for another outstanding campaign when he broke his collarbone halfway through the year and was put on IR for the remainder of the season. Nick was then traded to the St. Louis Rams where he struggled a bit and then the team drafted Jared Goff with the first overall pick in the offseason which led to him requesting a release. After a short stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, Foles was picked up again by the Eagles, but was set to back-up starting QB, Carson Wentz. When Wentz went down with a torn ACL in Week 14, Foles was forced into action and the team didn't skp a beat. Nice led his team through the NFC playoffs and into Super Bowl LII where he earned the MVP award.
