Acquired by trade by the Maple Leafs on June 28, 1994, Sundin would quickly turn into one of the organization's most premier players. After posting a 41 goal, 94-point season, the second highest point total of his career, during the 1996-97 season, Sundin would earn himself the role of team captain the following season and would hold the title until his final season with the Leafs in 2007-08.
