Gretzky holds the modern-day record for regular season points (2,857), points per game (1.92), goals (894), short-handed goals (73), empty net goals (56), assists (1,963), and assists per game (1.32). Gretzky would post 205 points in the 1983-84 regular season and score 35 postseason points in helping the Oilers win the Stanley Cup Title, the first of his career. From there, Gretzky would win Stanley Cup titles in three of the next four years to give him four Stanley Cup titles in five years. His 47 points in the 1984-85 postseason is a record that still stands today. Upon his retirement in 1999, the NHL decided to wave the normal 3-year waiting period for the Hall of Fame and induct Gretzky the same year he retired. This specially designed limited-edition Wayne Gretzky puck case includes both a signed acrylic Edmonton Oilers puck and an unsigned 40th Anniversary puck to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Wayne Gretzky's First Stanley Cup.
