Historical Milestones
Frank Gore has one of the most decorated careers in football history. Gore played his college football at the University of Miami from 2001-2004, rushing for 1,975 yards and 17 touchdowns during his career there. He also won a National Championship while playing for the Miami Hurricanes in 2001, on what many experts consider to be the greatest college football team of all-time. This running back has played in the NFL since 2005 for the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and now the Miami Dolphins.
Over the course of Gore’s NFL career, he has been named a Pro Bowler and one of the NFL’s Top 100 Players multiple times each. During the 2012 NFL season, he rushed for 1,214 yards and 8 touchdowns for the 49ers on their way to an NFC Championship and an appearance at Super Bowl XLVII. During his career, he was also selected to the Second-Team All-Pro by the Associated Press. This running back is going to retire as a legend of the game, having already moved into the top five in rushing yards in NFL history and is still not done yet.
