In a roster that included Dylan Guenther, Brandt Clark, Connor Bedard, and Adam Fantilli, it was Shane Wright that was named captain. Wright would not disappoint playing for his country scoring 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points as Team Canada would take home the gold medal. It wasn't the first time Wright had won for Canada. In 2021 Wright would make his international debut playing for Team Canada in the 2021 IIHF World U18 Championships, he would finish second in the tournament scoring race while scoring two goals in the final to help Team Canada win the gold medal. This image is autographed and inscribed "'23 IIHF WJC GOLD" by Shane Wright.
