Because of COVID-19 restrictions, Yager was able to start playing for the Warriors at age 15. His age was not a factor at all as Yager would set a new franchise record for 16-year-olds the following season by scoring 34 goals through 63 regular season games during the 2021-22 season. Yager's sophomore season with Moose Jaw saw him named as an alternate captain where he would post career highs in points and assists with 78 and 50, respectively (he would pass this mark in 2023-24 when he put up 95 points and 60 assists). 2024 could be Yager's last with Moose Jaw as his impressive 95 point has led to an even more impressive postseason.
