The then 24-year-old also recorded a career high in an important statistic for his center position -- faceoff win percentage. Suzuki won an impressive 689 faceoffs that season at a 52.6% rate. Suzuki's high success helped give the Canadiens advantages by controlling the puck in over half of the faceoffs he was a part of.
