In 1985, Webb's dream came true as he was drafted in the fourth round of the NBA draft and made his NBA debut during the 1985-86 season. Webb put together a solid rookie season with the Atlanta Hawks, but his fame took off after the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Standing at just five and a half feet tall, Webb's participation in the contest surprised many and set the stage for him to make history. Webb completed many complex and impressive dunks, earning two perfect 50-point scores in the final round of the contest and ultimately taking home the title. This victory and unbelievable showing of athleticism inspired many to follow their dreams despite what critics may say is possible. This image is autographed by Spud Webb with a silver paint pen.
