This infamous play became known simply as "The Flip." The Yankees went on to win the game and the series. His greatness struck again during a July 2004 meeting against the archrival Boston Red Sox. With the game Jeter raced up the line and caught the ball before his momentum carried him into the third row of seats at Yankee Stadium. The catch preserved the 3-3 tie and the Yankees went on to win the game in the bottom of the 13th inning.
