Presented is an OAL (Brown) baseball autographed by Walt Dropo . He signed it on the sweet spot in a blue ballpoint pen ("9") with the inscription, "AL 1950 R.O.U." The ball itself shows toning from age. Walt Dropo nicknamed "Moose", was an American college basketball standout and a professional baseball first baseman. During a 13-year career in Major League Baseball, he played for the Boston Red Sox (1949--1952), Detroit Tigers (1952--1954), Chicago White Sox (1955--1958), Cincinnati Redlegs (1958--1959), and Baltimore Orioles (1959--1961). In 1950, Mr. Dropo beat out New York Yankees pitcher Whitey Ford to win AL Rookie of the Year honors after batting .322 with 34 home runs and a league-best 144 RBIs in 136 games. He also made his only All-Star team that year. Authentication: 100% Authentic Team & Show Ticket
