Jordan Binnington is a goaltender in the NHL that is currently playing for the St. Louis Blues. Binnington is a native of Ontario, Canada, which is where he got his professional hockey start in the OHL. After years of success in the OHL, Binnington was seen as the top goaltender from the OHL coming into the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Binnington ended up being selected with the 88th overall pick in the third round of the draft by the St. Louis Blues.

Binnington would then spend years working on his craft playing for the Blues developmental teams. He did not make his first NHL start until January 7th, 2019, but once he got on the big stage, Binnington performed. Binnington made 25 saves in that first start and did not allow a single goal. In doing so, Binnington became the 35th goaltender in NHL history to earn his first career shutout in his first career start. Binnington became the starter for the Blues after his mid-season call up and ended the season with a 24-5-1 record helping the Blues battle back from last place to earn a spot in the 2019 NHL Playoffs. Binnington would go on to help the St. Louis Blues win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history that season as well.
