David Robinson is one of the most legendary figures to ever step onto a basketball court. Robinson was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs with the first overall pick of the 1987 NBA Draft after playing college basketball for the United States Naval Academy. While playing for the Navy Midshipmen he was one of the nation’s top players being named a consensus All-American for the 1986-1987 season. During that same season, he was also the recipient of the Wooden Award, Rupp Trophy, Naismith Award, and the AP Player of the Year Award.

Robinson made an immediate impact on the NBA after debuting with the Spurs during the 1989-1990 NBA season winning the Rookie of the Year Award and was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First-Team. He was also a ten-time All-Star and won the 1994-1995 NBA MVP Award during his impressive career. This two-time NBA Champion was also named to the All-NBA First-Team and the All-Defensive First-Team four times each. He is also a Basketball Hall of Famer and winner of two Gold Medals while representing the United States at the Summer Olympic Games in 1992 and 1996.
