Terry Bradshaw is a Hall of Fame quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is the first quarterback to ever lead his team to four Super Bowl victories. Bradshaw was destined for greatness when Pittsburgh made him the first overall pick in the 1970 NFL Draft out of Louisiana Tech. At 6-3 and 215 pounds, Bradshaw had a cannon for an arm but also the smarts and leadership ability to call his own plays.
Terry Bradshaw directed the Steelers to eight AFC Central championships titles and always played his best in the most important moments. In 1974, in both the AFC Championship Game and in Super Bowl IX, he would throw fourth-quarter touchdown passes to win the game and bring Pittsburgh their first championship. The Steelers would repeat as Super Bowl champs the next year behind Bradshaw’s 64-yard touchdown pass to Lynn Swann. Pittsburgh would go on to win two more Super Bowls with Bradshaw, and he was named the Most Valuable Player in each game, throwing for 627 yards and six touchdowns in those two victories.
Terry Bradshaw was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 1978 and was selected for three Pro Bowls. He finished his career with 27,989 passing yards and 212 touchdowns, plus 32 more rushing touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989 and his second career as a broadcaster has brought him a new generation of fans.
