The San Diego Padres are a Major League baseball team based in San Diego California playing in the National League’s Western Division. Founded in 1969, the Padres have two pennant wins under their belt. From 1969-1980 the Padres swung their way to victory in San Diego Stadium; since 2004 they have called PETCO Park home.
With 14 winning seasons in their franchise history, the San Diego Padres have had quite a few superstars on their 40-man roster, including the famed Tony Gwynn, Trevor Hoffman and Dave Winfield. With pennant wins in 1984 and again in 1998, the Padres have long been searching for a World Series title, making it to the series both times. Today the Padres are led by Wil Myers and Colin Rea who are keeping the dream alive.
