The Houston Dynamo is a soccer club in the MLS that plays in the Western Conference. The Dynamo was founded back in 2005 when the owner of the San Jose Earthquakes decided to move his franchise after failing to secure a new stadium in San Jose. As an expansion team, the Dynamo played their first game in 2006 and originally played their home matches in Robertson Stadium on the University of Houston Campus. Since 2012 they played their games in their new stadium the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas.
The Dynamo jumped onto the scene in their first two MLS seasons, winning the MLS Cup in both the 2006 and 2007 campaigns. The 2006 MLS Cup was the first to ever be decided by a penalty shoot-out as Dynamo defeated the New England Revolution 4-3 in the shoot-out. During regulation of that game, Brian Ching headed in the game-tying goal in the second half and Ching would go on to score the last penalty kick that gave the Dynamo the edge and bring back the first MLS Cup in franchise history.
Some of the biggest stars that have played for the Houston Dynamo aside from Ching are Brad Davis and Will Bruin and they now feature players like Albert Elis and Demarcus Beasley. Now Dynamo fans can get great autographed memorabilia that will help them celebrate those iconic players and championship teams of the past as well as the stars of the present.
