The Boston Bruins, based out of Boston, Massachusetts, are members of the Atlantic Division of the NHL's Eastern Conference. An Original Six NHL Team, the Bruins have been in existence since 1924 and are the oldest hockey franchise in the United States. For years the team played their home games at the legendary Boston Garden before moving in to the TD Garden in 1995.
As one of the most historic and successful franchises in NHL history, it's no surprise why the Boston Bruins have been one of the most popular teams in all of professional sports. The Bruins have won six Stanley Cup championships, the fifth most of all-time and second most of any American-based NHL team. Throughout the teams 90 year history on the ice, they have hosted some of the greatest players to ever lace up their skates in the National Hockey League. From Bobby Orr to Ray Bourque to Cam Neely, dozens of Hockey Hall of Famers have at one point or another called the Garden home. With the help of stars Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara, the Bruins have been to two Stanley Cup Finals in the past four years, bringing the city of Boston Lord Stanley's Cup in 2011.
