The Anaheim Ducks, known as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim until 2006, are a NHL team based out of Anaheim California playing in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. Founded in 1993 by the Walt Disney World Company after the name-featuring movie, The Mighty Ducks, the team was sold before the 2006 season, leading to the name change. Playing their home games at the Honda Arena, the Anaheim Ducks have found great success in their two-decade plus existence.
Since 1993, the Ducks have had great success in the NHL. They have made the playoffs 11 times, won four Pacific Division titles, two Western Conference championships and a the 2007 Stanley Cup.
