The members of the dominating defensive line of the New York Jets in the 1980s -Mark Gastineau, Joe Klecko, Marty Lyons and Abdul Salaam - were invited in November 1981 to ring the ceremonial opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, which served as the inspiration for their nickname, the "New York Sack Exchange". In 1981, the Jets led the NFL with 66 sacks, and upon the Jets' first playoff berth since 1969, a fan at Shea Stadium held up a bedsheet on which he'd written "New York Sack Exchange". The rest is history. Mark Gastineau, Joe Klecko, Marty Lyons & Abdul Salaam personally have hand signed this New York Jets Sack Exchange 16x20 photo.
