About Scott Stevens Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles

Historical Milestones

Scott Stevens is one of the best defensemen in the history of the NHL and was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 2007. Stevens was selected as the fifth overall pick in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals and made the team in his first season without playing any game in the minor leagues. At the age of 18, Stevens scored his first goal in his first game on his first shot that would become an illustrious NHL career. After eight seasons with the Caps, Stevens signed with the St. Louis Blues and played for one year. Following his first season in St. Louis, the Blues signed restricted free agent Brendan Shanahan from the New Jersey Devils and the Devils received Stevens as compensation for losing Shanahan.

Stevens would spend the rest of his career with the Devils playing thirteen seasons and serving as the team’s captain from 1992 to 2004. In the 1994-95 season, Stevens led the Devils to their first Stanley Cup when they swept the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Devils would win the Stanley Cup again in 2000 and Stevens was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the Stanley Cup playoffs for his leadership role captioning the team. In the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals, the Devils won their third Stanley Cup in nine years under the leadership of Stevens.

While Stevens was a capable and talented offensive player, he made a name for himself as a menacing defender known for his ability to check his opponents on the boards. Other than Chris Chelios, he has the most penalty minutes of anyone that has been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Stevens also did not post a single season with a negative plus/minus in 22 seasons in the NHL. While Capitals fans loved Stevens at the start of his career, there is no doubt that he will always be remembered as a Devil for his amazing run in New Jersey. Now Devils fans can find amazing autographed collectibles from Stevens career in New Jersey. These signed memorabilia celebrate the three Stanley Cups that Stevens brought back to New Jersey and all come 100% guaranteed authentic.
