About Priest Holmes Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles

Priest Holmes is a retired professional football and played with the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Royals during his stay in the National Football League. Holmes played actively in the NFL from 1997 all the way to 2007. Straight out of Texas, Holmes was not drafted by any team during the 1997 NFL draft. However, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in the same year and helped the Ravens captured the Super Bowl XXXV title.

After he became a free agent in the 2001 season, Holmes decided to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs and went on to stun fans by leading the league in rushing yards. By the end of the 2001 season, Holmes was named into the All-Pro selection and played in the All-Pro. He had to take a short break in the 2002 season after undergoing hip surgery but was still able to perform well enough to be part of that season’s All-Pro selection and play in the Pro Bowl as well as in the 2003 season. In 2002, Holmes was named as the league’s Offensive Player of the Year and got the Ed Block Courage Award in 2004.

Holmes announced his retirement in 2007 following an injury.
