Historical Milestones
Trey Burton was one of the most athletic players in all of college football during his time at the University of Florida. Originally recruited as a quarterback, Burton played multiple positions while with the Gators. In Urban Meyer’s spread offense, he played quarterback, wide receiver, tight end and fullback. During his freshman year in 2010, Trey scored six touchdowns in one game, which broke the school record previously held by Tim Tebow. Due to his flexibility and not playing the same position all throughout his collegiate career, scouts had a difficult time evaluating his talents.
Although he did not get drafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, Trey was signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles. Throughout his career he has been mostly a role player but has come up with key plays for the Eagles during that span. However, his best moment came on the greatest stage of all, Super Bowl LII, when he was handed a reverse which he then threw as a pass to quarterback Nick Foles in the end zone for a touchdown on 4th and 1 right before halftime. This gave Philadelphia a ten-point leading heading into the half which in turn helped them win the franchise’s first Super Bowl title.
With Trey Burton at the center of one of the Eagles most historic plays in team history, autographed memorabilia from this tight end is vital for any collection. Our selection of authentic signed collectibles makes for the perfect addition to any Philadelphia sports fans memorabilia collection. Buy your Trey Burton signed collectibles today and celebrate the Eagles first Super Bowl win.
