About Lawrence Taylor Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles
A football Hall of Famer and nicknamed as “L.T,” Lawrence Julius Taylor was born on February 4, 1959. He played as a line backer in his entire professional career for the New York Giants. He is regarded as one of the greatest players in football history and is considered by media members, coaches and former players as the greatest defensive player of all time. He was an All-American when he was still with University of North Carolina.
He was drafted during the 1981 NFL Draft second overall selection by the Giants. There might have been an issue during the selection due to the contract demands of Taylor but they were all resolved. During his rookie season, he was able win some defensive awards. For the whole 1980s and the early 1990s, Taylor was a disruptive force as an outside linebacker and many regard him as the one who changed the schemes for pass rushing, offensive formations and offensive line play used in NFL. He won three awards as the Defensive Player of the Year and was hailed as the MVP during the 1986 season. For each of his first nine seasons, Taylor was regarded First-team All-Pro. Nicknamed as “The Big Blue Wrecking Crew,” he was the one who led the Giants to win in Super Bowl XXI and XXV, working as one of the key defense’s members. Together with DE Leonard Marshall, Carl Banks, Harry Carson and Gary Reasons, Taylor gave the team the linebacking corps and showed a defense that was considered as one of the best in NFL’s history.
This is now the perfect time to avail of his signed memorabilia to treasure his great contributions to the league. You can also have collectible items of other football stars such as Jerry Rice, the quarterback of the San Diego Chargers, Philip Rivers and the present Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback, Tony Romo.
