Justin Peter Rose was born on July 30, 1980 in Johannesburg, South Africa. At present, he plays professional golf for the Professional Golf Association Tour and the European Tour.
Rose won several amateur titles such as the St. Andrews Links Trophy in 1997 and the Peter McEvoy Trophy in 1998 he participated in the 1998 Open Championship and played against several golf stars such as Tiger Woods, Thomas Bjorn, and Jim Furyk. He then turned pro the next week and established his own reputation in the European Tour. The 1st professional event that he won was the 2002 Dunhill Championship in South Africa. He finished as 33rd in the 2003 Official World Golf Rankings. However in 2004 and 2005, his statistics dipped while playing for both the PGA and European Tours and he dropped out of the top 50 in the world rankings but improved in the Canadian Open in 2006. He finished 2nd at the Valero Texas Open and bagged the Australian Masters in November that same year. He finished 26th place in the world rankings. In 2007, he set a new career high by reaching the 12th spot in the world rankings and has become a top British golfer. His best finish was the 7th spot which made him the top British golfer for the 1st time and also spent over 30 weeks in the top 10 since 2007. In 2010, Rose won the Memorial Tournament against Ricky Fowler.
