Major League Baseball pitcher, Jason Jennings plays for the Houston Astros. He was born in Dallas, Texas on July 17, 1978. His real name is Jason Ryan Jennings.
He had studied at Poteet High School and pursued his college years in Baylor University. When he was in high school, Jennings was a standout player in football and baseball. when he was a senior, he was hailed as the District Most Valuable Player where he posted a .410 batting average, accomplished 7 home runs, and recorded a powerful .92 ERA. Jennings became a member of the Colorado Rookies where he posted his most impressive numbers during the 2002 season. He then won the Major League Baseball Rookie of the Year Award in the National League. Jennings was able to defeat Bad Wilkerson and Austin Kearns. He unfortunately had three losing seasons in 2003 to 2005 where he posted an ERA which was above 5 each year. However, his performance improved in 2006 and was able to accomplish a 3.78 ERA.
It was on December 12 when Jennings was traded to the Astros for Wily Taveras, Taylor Buchholz, and Jason Hirsh. During his major league debut, he was able to hit a home run and tossed a game shutout. He often uses his left hand in doing most of the ordinary activities such as writing and eating but Jennings uses his right hand in pitching.
