Historical Milestones
James Neal is one of the top forwards in the NHL and has had an impressive career. In 2005 he was chosen in the second round of the 2005 NHL Draft by the Dallas Stars and made his debut in the NHL with them during the 2008-2009 season. Neal began his career with the Dallas Stars before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins where he play for four seasons until he was traded once again this time to the Nashville Predators. In 2017 he was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the Expansion Draft where he helped lead the team to the Stanley Cup Final in their inaugural season. In the 2018 offseason, he signed as a free agent with the Calgary Flames.
Over the course of his impressive NHL career, Neal has been named an All-Star multiple times and to the NHL First All-Star Team once. He has also finished twice among the top ten goal scorers in the league as well. In addition to playing in the NHL, he has also represented Canada at international competitions all over the world. He was a member of the Canadian teams that won a Gold Medal in 2007 at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships and a Silver Medal at the 2009 IIHF World Championships.
