About Jack Nicklaus Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles
Popularly known to be “The Golden Bear,” Jack William Nicklaus was born on the 21st of January 1940. He is a professional American golfer who has the most winnings, 18 to be exact, in major championships. Nicklaus still ranks number one on McCormack’s World Golf Rankings, from the year 1968 to 1977. Winning seven of the professional major titles within 1962 and 1967, he could still be the number one during those years, the time when he, Gary Player and Arnold Palmer are still vying for that specific status, claimed to be The Big Three.
After the year 1978, while Seve Ballesteros and Tom Watson who are younger than him ranked higher, Nicklaus still challenged for many major titles and even won several of them until 1986. This made him complete a full quarter-century wherein he was able to compete at the highest level of the sport. In his twenty five years in the profession with 100 major championships, he was able to finish on the first or second place for 36 times, top three for 45 times, top five for 54 times and top ten for 67 times.
With other awards such as US Amateur Championships, The Open Championship and Masters Tournaments, it is no wonder why he has so many followers who aspire to be like him and have his collectibles and other signed items. There are also those from David Beckham and Lou Holtz.
His name is sometimes misspelled as Jacke Nicklaus, Jacques Nicklaus, Jac Nicklaus, Jak Nicklaus, Jack Niclaus, Jack Niklaus and Jack Niklause.
