Born on October 10, 1974, Ralph Dale Earnhardt, Jr. or simply Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is an American race car driver who is professionally driving the number 88 AMP Energy/National Guard Chevrolet Impala for Hendrick Motorsports’ NASCAR Sprint Cup series. He is also driving the number 88 car part time for his very own team, JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series. He is the son of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., also a NASCAR racing driver and is also a grandson of the famous stock car fabricator, Robert Gee and Ralph Earnhardt, a late NASCAR driver.
Their being drivers really runs in the blood because Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is also former driver Kerry Earnhardt’s half brother, driver Jeffrey Earnhardt’s uncle, and is the stepson of Teresa Earnhardt, a co-owner of the Earnhardt Ganassi Racing team.
He had appeared as a cover photo on the NASCAR Thunder 2003 of the EA Sports. He is now helping in designing the Alabama Motorsports Park with his sister Kelly Earnhardt Elledge and his brother Kerry. For seven straight years, he has been awarded with the Chex Most Popular Driver Award, with the year 2009 as the latest. Dale, Jr. has also been part of the NASCAR Rumble, a video game created by EA Sports.
