Born on October 10, 1974, Ralph Dale Earnhardt, Jr. or simply Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is an American race car driver who is professionally driving the number 88 AMP Energy/National Guard Chevrolet Impala for Hendrick Motorsports’ NASCAR Sprint Cup series. He is also driving the number 88 car part time for his very own team, JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series. He is the son of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., also a NASCAR racing driver and is also a grandson of the famous stock car fabricator, Robert Gee and Ralph Earnhardt, a late NASCAR driver.
Their being drivers really runs in the blood because Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is also former driver Kerry Earnhardt’s half brother, driver Jeffrey Earnhardt’s uncle, and is the stepson of Teresa Earnhardt, a co-owner of the Earnhardt Ganassi Racing team.
