Craig Ramsay is a former National Hockey League player who hails from Weston, Ontario. He was selected to play in the national league in 1971 after he joined the National Hockey League Amateur Draft. He started his NHL career with the Buffalo Sabres and spent the rest of his seasons in the NHL with the team.
Ramsay played as a left winger in the league from 1971 to the 1985 seasons and has appeared in 1, 070 games in his entire NHL career. In his career with the Buffalo Sabres, he made a total of 252 goals and scored 672 points. He also logged 420 assists for the team.
After he retired from professional hockey playing, he went to work as an assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning. While working with team, he was able to win a Stanley Cup for the 2004 season. He also became a recipient of the Frank J. Selke Trophy in his last year as a player in 1985. The said trophy was then won by Frank Murray.
He also worked as an assistant coach for the Boston Bruins in 2007 and is currently part of the Atlanta Thrashers. He works as the head coach of the said team.
