Carl Pavano is a professional baseball player in the MLB. He is a pitcher in the Major League Baseball and plays for the Minnesota Twins. Pavano was born in New Britain, Connecticut and went to Southington High School. Right after graduating, Pavano entered the 1994 amateur draft and was selected in the 13th round by the Boston Red Sox. After playing in the minors for the Red Sox, Pavano was traded to the Montreal Expos in 1997 and was able to play in the MLB during the 1998 season for Montreal. In 2002, Pavano was again traded but to the Florida Marlins.
Pavano was with the Florida Marlins when the team went all the way to the World Series finals in 2003. He was able to pitch in the fourth game in the World Series and was credited with the win over the New York Yankees. By the end of the 2004 season, Pavano was named as an All-Star.
Pavano also played for the New York Yankees in 2005 and in 2007 to 2008. He played for the Cleveland Indians before being able to play for the Minnesota Twins in 2009. Pavano is known for his history of injuries in the MLB.
