About Bobby Grich Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles
Born Anthony Grich, Bobby Grich is a retired second baseman for the Major League Baseball. He played for the Baltimore Orioles and the California Angels in different periods of his career. He spent seven seasons for the Orioles while playing for the Angels for a total of a total of ten seasons. Presently, Grich is working for the front office of the California Angels.
What’s refreshingly great about Grich’s MLB career was the fact that he was efficient in both hitting and fielding. The Orioles were able to notice Grich’s fielding capabilities that they let go ofDavey Johnson in order to accommodate Grich in the rosters. Grich had a wonderful season in 1973 after posting a fielding percentage of .995. He was able to win his first Gold Glove award that year. He would go on to receive a Gold Glove every year from 1973 to 1976.
When it came to batting, Grich’s season came in 1974 when he was able to come up with a .543 slugging percentage, a .304 hitting percentage and 22 homeruns. He finished in the top ten for the voting of the MVP in 1974 and again in 1979. In 1981, he was a front leader in homeruns.
In his entire career, Grich was named into a total of six All-Star Games—in 1972, 1974, 1976, 1979, 1980 and 1982.
