About Bart Starr Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles

A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Bryan Bartlett “Bart” Starr is a former professional football coach and player. He was born on January 9, 1934. When he was the quarterback from1956 to 1971 for the Green Bay Parkers, he was wearing a number 15 jersey. He was hailed as the MVP for the very first two Super Bowls. This player who was able to be part of four selections for the Pro Bowl was elected on 1977 to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Starr was the son of an Air Force NCO and he has played football ever since high school at Lanier High School, earning him a spot in the Hall of Fame of the said school. It was in Alabama where he played college football and in 1956 NFL Draft’s 17th round pick, he was selected as 200th overall. After quitting from the field, he became the head coach for 9 seasons of his former team. He has so many achievements just like Adrian Peterson.

Starr won 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966 and 1967 seasons of the NFL Championships. After the 66 and 67 season, he led the team in many wins against AFL for the first two Super Bowls and was hailed as the MVP for both games. Starr is the sole football quarterback who was able to win five NFL championships.

On the list of 100 Greatest Football Players of the Sporting News, Starr landed on the 41st spot. He retired his number 15 jersey. To commemorate his great contribution to the league, an NFL award was name after him and was called as the Bart Starr Award which was given yearly to the player with an outstanding character by the panel of judges.
