B.J. Raji is an American professional football player. He is currently playing for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. Raji was born in Washington Township, New Jersey. He took his college education at Boston College where he played college football as well. Raji made his debut in college football against Penn State in the home opener, making one tackle. When Raji was sophomore, he started all 12 matches, which registered 27 tackles, tackles for loss of 6.5, 1.5 sacks, and one pass breakup. He had recorded one unassisted tackle in the MPC Computers Bowl against Boise State. During his junior years, Raji received All-Atlantic Coast Conference second-team honors. And in his senior year, he missed the 2007 season owing to academic reasons. Raji came back to the team in 2008, starting on a defense.
Raji started his professional football career in the National Football League when he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 2009 NFL Draft held on April 25 and 26, 2009. He was the 1st round pick of the team. Raji is posed as a nose tackle, which is a defensive alignment position for a defensive lineman. Raji was listed at 6 ft. 2 in. and 337 lbs.
