About Chicago Blackhawks Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles

Historical Milestones

As one of the “Original Six” members of the league, the Chicago Blackhawks are one of the oldest and most storied franchises in the NHL. The club was founded in 1926 and over the course of their existence they have won six Stanley Cup titles. Today the team plays in the Western Conference and are members of the Central Division. This franchise has become not only one of the most iconic franchises in the NHL but in the world over the years.

During the early days of the franchise, they were led on the ice by future Hall of Fame goaltender Charlie Gardiner and All-Star Johnny Gottselig, winning their first Stanley Cup title in 1934 over the Detroit Red Wings. A few years later in 1938, the team would reach the Stanley Cup Finals again, this time defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs. It would not be until the 1960-1961 season that the Blackhawks would win another Stanley Cup Championship, with a roster that included future Hall of Famers Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita. During the 1969-1970 season, Tony Esposito joined the team and went on to have one of the greatest goaltending careers in NHL history. Over the course of Esposito’s career, he won three Vezina Trophies and led the league in wins twice. The organization remained competitive throughout the years winning the Presidents’ Trophy and a Western Conference Title during the 1991-1992 season but were swept by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Finals. After a period of some down years, the Blackhawks won a Stanley Cup Championship in 2010 and followed that up with two more titles in 2013 and 2015. Their roster was stacked with All-Stars such as Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, and Duncan Keith as it is today, so it is no surprise that they were able to build a dynasty. The team remains one of the top teams in the league and are primed to make another title run in the near future.
