Michael Rozier is a retired American football player from Camden, New Jersey. He went to Woodrow Wilson High School and spent his college freshman year at the Coffeyville Junior College. He was noticed by Nebraska Cornhuskers’ assistant coach, Tom Osborne.

Rozier joined Nebraska in 1981 and showed off amazing skills in a game against the Kansas State Wildcats. In his 2nd year playing for the Wildcats, he led the team to the Big 8 title with 12 wins and 1 loss only to Penn State. One of his notable games was against the Missouri Tigers which he won for the team though he suffered a hip- pointer injury. He won the Heisman Trophy, an award given to college football’s top individual player, in his senior year. However due to injury, he failed to win the 1984 Orange Bowl for the Huskers against the Miami Hurricanes.

He turned pro when he joined the Pittsburgh Maulers of the United States Football League. He then played for the Jacksonville Bulls in 1985 and then pursued a National Football League career with the Houston Oilers and in 1991 joined the Atlanta Flacons.
