About Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles

    Historical Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Milestones

Hall of Fame basketball player, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (born Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor, Jr.), dominated the hardwood from the time he led his high-school team to an amazing 72 straight wins over three years until he retired from the NBA as a six-time World Champion in 1989. Playing college basketball at UCLA, Jabbar won two NCAA Player of the Year awards while leading the Bruins to an unbelievable 88-2 record during his three year career. Arguably the greatest college basketball player of all-time, Jabbar was selected 1st overall in the 1969 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar went on to set the NBA on fire during his first season, winning Rookie of the Year honors while becoming the second leading scorer in the league. Milwaukee's addition of fellow Hall of Famer, Oscar Robertson, to the roster earned the Bucks the 1971 NBA Championship. Jabbar was named the NBA's MVP in 1971, as he led the league in scoring at 31.7 points per game. By 1974, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had wrapped up his third MVP award in five seasons as a member of the Bucks, while remaining at, or near the top of the NBA's scoring, rebounding, and defending totals. Despite his successes in Milwaukee, Jabbar yearned for a larger spotlight and requested a trade to either Los Angeles or New York. Traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1975, Jabbar would go to on to win the league MVP award in both the 1976 and 1977 seasons. Despite his personal success, Jabbar most desired championships, a feat left unaccomplished since his trade from Milwaukee. His craving would be matched with the prowess of a young and talented point guard by the name of Earvin "Magic" Johnson. After the Lakers drafted Johnson 1st overall pick in the 1979 NBA Draft, Magic and Kareem made one of the most lethal combinations the NBA had ever seen. As the definitive team of the decade, Jabbar and the Lakers represented the Western Conference in the NBA Finals an unbelievable eight times during the 1980s. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also won his record sixth NBA MVP award while surpassing Wilt Chamberlain's all-time record for career points in NBA history.

Completing 20 seasons of iconic basketball, Jabbar will always remain an integral piece of league history and be forever remembered by NBA fans. Absolutely no sports collection is complete without authentic autographed collectibles that commemorate the NBA's all-time career scoring champion. Make a Hall of Fame addition to your sports-influenced room or collection with career Kareem Abdul-Jabbar memorabilia signed by the UCLA and NBA legend.
