Jim Plunkett is a football legend. Plunkett was a quarterback most notably for the Raiders when they played in both Oakland and Los Angeles as well as having stints with the New England Patriots and the San Francisco 49ers. Prior to playing in the NFL he played college football at Stanford University passing for 7,809 yards and 53 touchdowns during his college career. While playing for the Stanford Cardinals he was named a consensus All-American, and won the Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Player of the Year Awards, and the Heisman Trophy in 1970.

Plunkett was selected with the first overall pick of the 1971 NFL Draft by the Patriots before moving on to the 49ers and the Raiders. While playing for the Raiders he won championships at Super Bowls XV and XVIII, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins respectively. This quarterback won the 1980 Comeback Player of the Year Award and at Super Bowl XXV he won the MVP Award, passing for 261 yards and three touchdowns in the game. Over the course of his NFL career he passed for an impressive 164 touchdowns and 25,882 yards.
