With 504 career home runs, Eddie Murray is one of the most prolific home run hitters that Major League Baseball has ever seen. Murray played the majority of his big league career with the Baltimore Orioles but also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, and the Anaheim Angels. Along with his impressive home run total, he had 3,255 hits, 1,917 RBIs, and scored 1,627 runs over the course of his career in the majors. On his very first ballot, this first baseman was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003.
Murray made an immediate impact in the big leagues, being named the 1977 American League Rookie of the Year, blasting 27 home runs and driving in 88 baserunners that season. During his career, he would go on to be selected to eight All-Star Teams and the AL Player of the Month four times. He also won three Gold Glove and three Silver Slugger Awards, showing that he was one of the most well-rounded players in the game.
