About Ed Reed Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles

Historical Milestones

Ed Reed who spent a majority of his career as the star safety of the Baltimore Ravens. Prior to playing in the NFL, Reed was the leader of the 2001 BCS National Champion Miami Hurricanes. After redshirted for his freshman year, Reed spent four seasons a great contributor to some amazing Hurricanes teams. Reed was first recognized as a consensus All-American in 2000 before being a unanimous selection a year later. In 2001, Reed led the nation with nine interceptions for 209 yards, which became a school record, along with three touchdowns.

His highlight moment at Miami was when he took the ball out of his teammate Matt Walter’s hands, after he intercepted it, and took it 80 yards for a touchdown in an iconic win against Boston College. Reed was named as the Big East Defensive Player of the Year. Reed holds many school records at Miami such as career interceptions and has been inducted to the school’s Hall of Fame as well as being inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame.

After his standout career at Miami, Reed was drafted by the Ravens with the 24th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft. Reed was a Pro Bowler in nine of his 11 seasons in Baltimore and was a member of an All-Pro team eight times, five of which being First-Team selections. In 2004, Reed led the league in interceptions with 9 as well as return yards with 358. In one of his interceptions, he took the ball from one end zone to the other for a recorded 106-yard return. Reed was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2004. Ed Reed was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019 and is considered one of, if not, the best safety in NFL history.

Reed would lead the league in interceptions two more times in 2008 and 2010. Overall in his career, Reed intercepted 64 passes for an NFL record 1,590 interception return yards. He also holds the NFL record for the longest interception return of 108 yards. In 2012, in his last season with the Ravens, Ed Reed finally became a Super Bowl champion when the Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. This was the last game that longtime teammate and Hall of Famer Ray Lewis would play but rather than riding off into the sunset with Lewis, Reed attempted to play again in 2013 before finally retiring.
