Historical Milestones
Dylan Larkin is carving out a legacy that will not be soon forgotten. The Detroit Red Wings drafted Larkin in the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft. As a center for the Red Wings, he has already made quite the impression on the league. He has been named an NHL All-Star and in November 2015 he was named the Rookie of the Month. Larkin has developed into the most consistent player for the Red Wings and took over leadership of the team after the retirement of Pavel Datsyuk.
Larkin played hockey in college at the University of Michigan. While playing for the Michigan Wolverines he had a highly decorated career being selected to the All-Big Ten First-Team, All-Freshman Team, and the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. In addition to those accolades, he has also played for the United States at numerous international competitions. At the 2014 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 World Championships he helped lead the USA to a Gold Medal and in 2015 he won a Bronze Medal at the IIHF World Championships.
