The team is based in Washington, DC. The Washington Redskins are professional American football team that is at present part of the East Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. The team was founded since the season of 1932 as the Boston Braves. In 1933 to 1936, they are named as the Boston Redskins and from 1937 up to now they are called as Washington Redskins. On September 16, 1937, they were able to win their first game in Washington DC. That was a victory against the Giants. In addition, on December 5, 1937, they were able to earn then their first division title. The first home field that the team has was at the Braves Field, in which they played for one season only. Today, the Washington Redskins are playing in the FedExField. They started to play in that arena from the season of 1997.
