Post formation of Washington nationals in 2005, the season began with losing stack. The gallant effort made by imminent players like Brad Wilkerson and Kenny Lofton went futile. The team lost to the Philadelphia Phillies set a worrying precedence. Days later, the first win was recorded RFK stadium against the Phillies. The entire season, then, worked out satisfactorily. Beating the Arizona Diamondhead, the Nationals managed to finish the season with a respectable record.  The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium was opened in 1961. It was home to Major League Soccer’s D.C. United; NFL’s Washington Redskin and also served as home to the Washington Senators. Recent news reveals that the Nationals moved to the newly open National Park. The season of 2006 proved to be more desirable than the previous ones. The game gave rise to enthusiastic players like Mike Bacsik and Micah Bowie. Mike Bacsik started off with the Cleveland Indians in 1996. He was shifted to the Nationals in 2006.
