The University of Tennessee has had a long history and tradition of giving fans across the state with idols and champions who have defended their state’s honor every time they played. The University has separated its sports division and dedicated one to a men’s team and another to the women’s sports program so that they are given their due importance. This legendary coach has provided guidance and expert advice to the team in addition to serving in the military for his nation. By 2008, Lane Kiffin became the Head Coach of the Tennessee Volunteers. He used to coach the Oakland Raiders.
The official uniforms of the team are a distinctive orange and white. For their 2009 game against
South Carolina Gamecocks they wore black jerseys with orange pants. The game was played on the Halloween night.
