The St. Louis Blues, based in St. Louis, Missouri, is an NHL franchise team competing in the Central Division of the Western Conference. Founded in 1976 as an expansion team during the NHL’s original 6-to-12 expansion, the St. Louis Blues are the oldest NHL team to never bring home a Stanley Cup. The Blues play all home games in the Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis.
While the St. Louis Blues may have never won a Stanley Cup Trophy, they have had plenty of other success, including nine Division Championships and a Presidents’ Trophy in the 1999-2000 season. Besides from team accomplishments, plenty of individual Blues players have brought home records and trophies of their own, including Brett Hull who held the record for most season goals and points, Brian Elliot who had the most shutouts in a season and Barret Jackman who won the Calder Memorial trophy in the 2002-03 season. Brian Elliott, their current star, brought the team further than ever thought possible in the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs, facing eliminatiion in the Conference Finals. Now pushing their way through the Stanley Cup playoffs year after year, the Blues are searching for their first Cup win, an achievement long overdue.
