In addition, their football team has a famous rival too and this is the Tulane Green Wave Football. This rivalry that they have was born on October 13, 1979. Moreover, this rivalry is known as The Battle for the Bell. There are 14 varsity teams that are encompassing the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. The team’s mascot is named as Seymour d’Campus and they are also known with their nickname that is the Golden Eagles.
