About Sacramento Kings Jewelry, Watches and Accessories
The Sacramento Kings had their share of very good players throughout history. Despite the fact that the fact that its history is peppered with short-lived franchises, starting from Rochester, Cincinnati, Omaha, Kansas and now finally and hopefully the last one, Sacramento.
The team has several Hall of Famers dating back from the 1948. One of the best players to ever become a part of the team was the one credited for the creation or popularization of the term triple-double. A triple-double means garnering double-digit numbers in three of the five basketball categories, i.e. total game points, in rebounds, in assists, in steals, and in blocked shots in a single game. Usually the combination is points, rebounds and assists. The all-time NBA list is led by a former Cincinnati Royals player Oscar Robertson with 181. Among active players,
Jason Kidd is considered the leader with 104.
Robertson is one of the greatest players not only in the history of Sacramento Kings but of the whole NBA history as well. He was a point guard and an all-around player too. He played for the franchise for a total of ten seasons in the period amid 1960 and 1970. He achieved his record-topping performance during his second season with the franchise. He came close to doing it again in the next season but his points came shy of his record. He won an MVP award in 1964 and was inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980.
Jerry Lucas was Robertson’s team mate in the 60s. His brand of play was the perfect accompaniment for the game of Robertson. He was an incredible rebounder and remains one of the greatest in NBA history. He holds the fourth highest place in terms of rebounding. Although he never won an MVP title during his time, he was inducted to NBA Hall of Fame in 1980, the same year Robertson was inducted.
Nate “Tiny” Archibald spent six seasons with the team where he peaked with an average of 34 points and 11.4 assists in 1973. Like Lucas and Robertson, he was also a part of the Basketball Hall of Fame inducted in 1991.
Bobby Wanzer is one of the founding members of the Rochester Royals and was with the Royals from 1948 until 1957. He was in the All-Star team five times and is part of The NBA Hall of Fame from 1987.
According to sources, other Hall of Famers in the franchise history includes
