Sidney Wicks was drafted by the Blazers in 1971 and played for the team until 1976 averaging 22.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. He was named the Rookie of the Year in 1971 and holds the franchise record of 27 rebounds in a single game. Current President for basketball operation of the
Sacramento Kings, Geoff Petrie played with the Blazers and held the team’s individual scoring record of 51 until Damon Stoudamire broke it with 54 points in 2005. He was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in the postseason of the 1975-76 NBA seasons where he suffered a career-ending knee injury.
