About Philadelphia 76ers Memorabilia & CollectiblesThe team is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia 76ers is a professional team in basketball. And they are at present playing in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association. It was in the early 1960s that the team was introduced. The team’s old name was Syracuse National. And they played from 1946 up to the period of 1963. They are part of the National Basketball League and NBA. The team began in Syracuse, New York and then was moved to Philadelphia, changing its name to Philadelphia 76ers. And the first four years that they have, the Philadelphia 76ers played most of their games at the Philadelphia Arena as well as in the Civic Center - Convocation Hall. From 1967 to the seasons of 1996, the team played in The Spectrum. From 1996 up to the present, they are playing in the Wells Fargo Center. One of the first few coaches that led the team was Coach Alex Hannum.
Founded in the year 1939, Philadelphia 76ers had joined the NBA in the year 1949. They are currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and they play in the Eastern Conference in Atlantic Division of the National Basketball Association. The 76ers had incredibly won 3 Championships, 9 Conference titles, and 11 Division titles.
The team had begun in the year 1939 and was originally known as the Syracuse Nationals and in 1955 they incredibly won the NBA Championship and the Julius "Dr. J" Erving autographed Philadelphia 76ers white custom throwback jersey was made as an important item. Their name was then changed into 76ers in 1776 just after they signed the Declaration of independence. They had then dominated the league where they amazingly won 65 games and is said to be the second most winning year in franchise history. During the 2006 season, the team had presented new and fresh young players in the persons of Andre Iguodala, Kyle Korver, and Samuel Dalembert and the Julius "Dr. J" Erving autographed Philadelphia 76ers white custom throwback jersey was then made a precious item to have. The new players are said to be the key of the 76ers to finally make it to the finals and would contribute to the team’s success in the future.
