About Penn State Nittany Lions Equipment
The Penn State Nittany Lions is the collective name for the different athletic teams of the Pennsylvania State University. The team takes part in the Big Ten as well as the NCAA Division I tournaments. The team’s Athletic Director is Tim Curley, who has held the post for more than two decades. The campus is located at the State College in Pennsylvania. It currently has 27 varsity teams all using the team color blue and white.
Its football stadium is the beaver stadium recently renovated and enlarged at the onset of the 21st century, while its basketball team is housed at the Bryce Jordan Center just across from the Beaver Stadium. Its baseball team has a stadium at the Medlar Field at the Lubrano Park, while its soccer and filed lacrosse stadium is at the Jeffrey Field. Other teams use the Rec Hall.
The university’s sports program has managed to produce world class athletes that have crossed over to the pro leagues as well as the more prestigious Olympic Games.
Pro Basketball also has its share it Penn State standouts with John Amaechi and
Calvin Booth.
