They are competing in the 24 intercollegiate varsity sports teams. The North Carolina State Wolfpack is the name given to the varsity sports teams of the North Carolina State University. Moreover, they are founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The team’s name was first adopted in the season of 1922. Few of the first names that the team has are Aggies, the Techs and the Red Terrors. The team’s name as the North Carolina State Wolfpack was then officially known since the season of 1960s. In that the same period, their mascots, Mr. and Ms. Wuf then appeared. Moreover, they have their new mascot that came in September 2010. The team’s mascot is a purebred Tamaskan Dog. His name is Tuffy. The team is representing the university in the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Currently, their athletics director is Debbie Yow. The colors that are in lieu of the North Carolina State Wolfpack are red and white.
